- A conference hall is built in Nova Ares on Mars. This will become the home of the Mars Elective Assembly, and will remain in use well into the 24th century.[1]

- RSD 0/9807.27 (27 January): An unescorted group of six Zeus class warp-driven automated transports is attacked while traveling in Sector 7C, near the frontier. All six are crippled, and most of the tritanium carried aboard them is missing when the ships are finally located.[2]
