This unnamed crewman was assigned to engineering aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2266. After he was distracted by Harry Mudd and his "cargo" of wiving settlers in the corridor outside the transporter room, he was on the bridge on Stardate 1329.1, assisting Lieutenant Commander Scott after the ship's lithium crystals were damaged.[2] The crewman was the transporter operator on duty when Charlie Evans was beamed aboard on Stardate 1533.6, and was later at the engineering station on the bridge when the boy used the mental powers granted to him by the Thasians to take control of the ship.[3]

Notes and References

  1. The actor who played the Engineering Crewman never had any dialogue and was thus never listed in the episode credits. He also played several other members of the Enterprise crew, including Bobby, Abrams, and a Medical Technician. While other sources have assumed these were all the same character inexplicably changing division colors multiple times, Bobby and Abrams were seen simultaneously in different parts of the ship in two episodes, and therefore must be separate characters. Given the different skillsets required of a security crewman and an engineering crewman, the episodes where the actor is obviously performing engineering duties have been separated from Abrams as a separate character.
