Lee Kelso portrayed by Paul Carr (TOS 01)

Lieutenant Lee Kelso was an engineer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2265. He was friends with Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell, the ship's navigator. When an encounter with the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 1312.4 gave Mitchell godlike powers and ultimately drove him mad, Mitchell killed Kelso with telekinesis by strangling him with a cable.[1]

Lee Kelso (STK IDW #2)

Ensign Lee Kelso was an officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2258. He was friends with Ensign Gary Mitchell, the ship's navigator, and Captain James T. Kirk, who had befriended them both at Starfleet Academy and requested them both aboard his first command. When an encounter with the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 2258.56 gave Mitchell godlike powers and ultimately drove him mad, Mitchell killed Kelso with telekinesis by forcing him to fire his own phaser at his head.[2][3]
