Lieutenant Lee Kelso was an engineer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2207. He was friends with Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell, the ship's navigator. When an encounter with the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 1312.4 (Reference Stardate 2/0705[1]) gave Mitchell godlike powers and ultimately drove him mad, Mitchell killed Kelso with telekinesis by strangling him with a cable.[2]
