In 2267, a transporter accident caused Dr. Leonard McCoy, Chief Medical Officer of the Imperial Battlecruiser I.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, to switch places with his counterpart from another universe.[1]

Captain Kirk led an attempted invasion of the Prime Timeline in 2285,[2] but he was not only stopped by his counterpart, he and his entire crew, with the exception of Spock, were killed by the Imperial Starfleet, which had labeled them traitors following the interference of their counterparts.[3]
