Prime Timeline
(The root of all realities)

Stonn became involved with a Vulcan woman, T'Pring, who had been ritually bonded as a child, per Vulcan custom, to Spock. When Spock entered pon farr in 2267, T'Pring devised a plan: she would declare kal-if-fee, the only option available under Vulcan laws and traditions to dissolve the marriage bond. She declared Spock's Human friend, Captain James T. Kirk, as her champion in the ritual combat. If Kirk won, Spock would be dead, and she would have Stonn. If Spock won, he would again leave for Starfleet, and she would have both his lands and titles, as well as Stonn. In the end, Spock won when Dr. McCoy helped fake Kirk's death. His mind cleared of the plak tow, he agreed to dissolve the marriage bond, leaving T'Pring and Stonn with the admonition that, "you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but I have often found it to be true."[1]
