In ancient Muslim cultures, a harem was a domestic space reserved for the women of the house, intended "to protect the modesty, privilege, and protection" of the family's women and children.^[1] On Stardate 1329.1, while aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, Eve McHuron complained that the crew of the ship was staring at her and the other women in her group of wiving settlers "like we were Saturnius harem girls or something."^[2]^[3]
