The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 took photographs as part of a star mapping mission on Stardate 1512.1.[1] Military aircraft in the 20th century used cameras in their wings to take photographs during their missions. After accidentally traveling back in time to July 1969, the Enterprise crew had to steal the film taken from a jet that took photographs of the ship.[2]
