U.S.S. Hannibal NCC-4350 (FASA)
The Federation Starship Hannibal was a Larson class destroyer commissioned on Reference Stardate 1/9402 (February 2194). The Hannibal was refit to the Larson class Mark II specifications on Reference Stardate 1/9804 (April 2198), giving it more powerful phasers and an additional torpedo launcher.[1]
On Reference Stardate 2/07, Ensign Fayel R'Zaad was assigned to the Hannibal after a successful cadet cruise. Following an engagement with an Orion pirate vessel that resulted in the destruction of the Orion ship on Reference Stardate 2/08, R'Zaad, whose mother was Orion, became physically ill. Though his distress was officially attributed to space sickness, he began to realize that a career in Star Fleet may not be in his future.[2]
On Reference Stardate 2/1106 (June 2211), the ship was refit again to the Mark VI configuration, and Reference Stardate 2/1910 (October 2219) saw another refit, this time to the Mark VII specifications. As of Reference Stardate 2/2306 (June 2223), the Hannibal was still on active service.[1]
