U.F.F. Challenger (Columbia)
The United Fast Frigate Challenger was constructed from salvaged parts after the destruction of the U.S.S. Peleliu, which had been sent to relieve the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 of picket duty at the newly-founded Belle Terre colony. Under the command of Commander Nick Keller, senior surviving officer of the Peleliu, the Challenger, named in honor of the early Human space shuttle, assumed the Peleliu's picket duties.[1]
