U.S.S. Ferrel (Constellation class)
The Federation Starship Ferrel was a Constellation class vessel in service in the 24th century. By 2364, the Ferrel was commanded by Captain Phil Manin. While on a mission to make first contact with the Choraii, the Ferrel, operating with a skeleton crew of 46, was attacked by unknown aliens. Captain Manin sent out a distress signal, which was received by the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. The Ferrel was heavily damaged, and the crew was rescued by the Enterprise. The vessel later went back to Xendi Starbase 10.[1]
