The Federation Starship Hathaway, a Constellation class cruiser, was launched in 2285 following its construction by Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems at the Copernicus Ship Yards on Luna, and decommissioned some time prior to 2365, when it was temporarily returned to duty under Commander William Riker during a Starfleet battle simulation conducted in the wake of first contact with the Borg.[1]
