angels
From Trekipedia
In the Abrahamic faiths of Earth, angels were spiritual beings who served in Heaven and defended Humans on Earth.[1] Spock did not believe in angels.[2] Dr. McCoy once admitted that, just once, he'd like to beam down to a planet and claim to be the archangel Gabriel.[3] When Spock admitted that he had programmed some of the variables in his calculations for time travel from memory, McCoy declared, "Angels and ministers of grace, defend us." Spock noted that it was a quotation from Hamlet.[4] In 2293, Spock kept a painting in his quarters depicting an angel driving Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, "as a reminder … that all things end."[5]
