- RSD 1/57: The Provider class tug enters service as the lead ship in the revolutionary warp superconvoy concept. Each ship, such as the U.S.S. Muletrain, would join their warp fields together to tow up to 100 kilometers of cargo modules. The class will remain in service until 2190.[1]

- RSD 1/5708: The Terra-Return League is formed on Benecia Colony. The group begins the Back-to-Earth movement, whose goal is to dissolve the Federation and have all Humans return to the Sol system, claiming space exploration has gone far enough.[1][2][3]
