Offutt Air Force Base[1] was located near the city of Omaha in Nebraska on Earth. When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 accidentally traveled back in time to 1969, evidence of the ship's existence was taken to Offutt. Captain Kirk and Lieutenant Sulu infiltrated the base to eliminate the evidence, but Kirk was captured and interrogated by United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Fellini. The officer on duty at the time was Colonel M. March. Captain John Christopher was assigned to the base until 1968.[2]
