Dancing was the act of moving rhythmically, usually in time to music.[1] While disguised as an Orion slave girl as part of a Talosian illusion, Vina danced seductively for Captain Christopher Pike[2] in 2254.[3] On Stardate 1704.2, Lieutenant Kevin Riley, overcome by polywater intoxication, took control of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701; he declared that a dance would be held in the ship's bowling alley.[4] Captain James T. Kirk danced with Dr. Helen Noel when he met her at the Science Department's Christmas party in 2266, not realizing at the time that she had recently joined the ship's crew.[5]
