This unnamed crewman was assigned to the sciences division aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2266. On Stardate 1312.4, he assisted efforts to repair the ship by installing the forcefield in Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell's makeshift brig cell on Delta Vega, freeing up engineering crew to affect repairs and salvage equipment from the mining station. When Mitchell attempted to escape the cell, he and Commander Spock both trained their phasers on Mitchell.[1] The crewman was part of a landing party on Alfa 177 on Stardate 1672.1 that became trapped on the surface when transporters were rendered inoperable. The planet's surface temperatures dropped as low as -120°F, and by the time they were rescued from the planet, they had all suffered from severe exposure and frostbite, though Dr. McCoy was confident that they would make a full recovery.[2] When the Enterprise was at M-113 on Stardate 1513.1, the crewman treated Spock's wounds after he was attacked by the M-113 creature in sickbay.[3]
