- Stardate 8121.8: The Genesis Planet is formed when Khan Noonien Singh tries to use the Genesis Device as a weapon against Admiral James T. Kirk. Spock sacrifices his own life to save his shipmates. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
- Stardate 8210.3: Spock is resurrected by the Genesis effect. The Enterprise is destroyed during the attempt to recover his reanimated body from the Genesis Planet. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
