The Class F shuttlecraft was first brought into service concurrent with the commissioning of the Constitution class starships to which it was primarily assigned, and often served as a personnel and cargo transportation vehicle. Class F shuttlecraft could be operated by a single person, though normal operations call for two flight crew.[1]
