The Federation Starship Murat was a Larson class destroyer commissioned on Reference Stardate 1/9704 (April 2255). The Murat was refit to the Larson class Mark II specifications on Reference Stardate 1/9807 (July 2256), giving it more powerful phasers and an additional torpedo launcher. On Reference Stardate 2/1204 (February 2270), the ship was refit again to the Mark VI configuration, and Reference Stardate 2/1505 (September 2271) saw another refit, this time to the Mark VII specifications. As of Reference Stardate 2/2306 (June 2286), the Murat was still on active service.[1]

On Reference Stardate 2/1204 (April 2212), the ship was refit again to the Mark VI configuration, and Reference Stardate 2/1505 (May 2215) saw another refit, this time to the Mark VII specifications. As of Reference Stardate 2/2306 (June 2223), the Murat was still on active service.[1]
