U.S.S. Lexington NCC-1709
The Constitution class Starship Lexington,[Notes 1] commissioned on Reference Stardate 1/8912 (December 2246),[Notes 2] was refit to Mark III specifications on Reference Stardate 2/0304 (April 2260). The ship was lost on Reference Stardate 2/0702 (February 2265),[4] but recovered some time afterward.[Notes 3]
In 2268, the Lexington, commanded by Commodore Robert Wesley, participated in the disastrous tests of the M-5 multitronic computer. During those tests, the multitronic unit malfunctioned and fired full phasers on the Lexington, killing 53 people on that ship, as well as the entire crew of the U.S.S. Excalibur NCC-1664.[1]
Lieutenant Watley, presumably an ancestor of Deep Space 9 chief medical officer Julian Bashir, transferred from the Lexington to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 a few months before the M-5 tests, and unknowingly met her time-traveling descendant while the Enterprise was at Deep Space K-7 in 2268.[5]
The ship was upgraded to the refit Mark I specifications on Reference Stardate 2/1802 (February 2276).[4] Shortly afterward, while patrolling the Klingon Neutral Zone during the ship's shakedown, the Warp drive became erratic, and Captain Grant Franklin ordered the ship to Starbase 12 for repairs. The Lexington encountered a pirate vessel en route and took heavy damage, so the ship was rerouted to the closer Orbital Defense Outpost 1121 in the Korial system; even then, it took seven months to reach the outpost, and the ship arrived on Reference Stardate 2/1809.1 (1 September 2276). While at the outpost, several members of the ship's senior staff stole the U.S.S. Strider NCC-7141 in order to search for that ship's log buoy, in a effort to clear the Strider's captain, Kristine Reardon, who was facing charges after her ship entered the Neutral Zone. The Lexington's command staff at the time of the Strider Incident included Commander Wanda Worrenstill, first officer; Commander Wendell Maynard, chief engineer; Commander Winston Driveon, chief medical officer; Lieutenant Commander Megan Trellan, science officer; Lieutenant Commander V'Shall, navigator; Lieutenant Commander David Ralston, security chief; Lieutenant James Turnham, helmsman; and Lieutenant Marvin Wanglestein, communications officer.[6]
On Reference Stardate 2/2601 (January 2283), the Lexington was refit to Mark III specifications, then to Mark IV on Reference Stardate 2/3309 (September 2290). The Lexington was scrapped on Reference Stardate 2/3812 (December 2295).[7]

Hood NCC-1703, and must be disregarded.
- ↑ FASA game materials referred to events by a FASA-specific dating standard called the "Reference Stardate." All dates taken from FASA sources in this article have been adapted from that notation into standard calendar dates, which are then adjusted for errors in the baseline dates used as reference by the FASA authors. Working with a known, dated event (e.g., the launch of the Constitution class starships), the other dates in the timeline can be adjusted accordingly. FASA sources give the launch of the Constitution class as Reference Stardate 1/8801.04, which translates to the standard caldendar date of 04 January 2188. This has been established on screen, however, as occurring in 2245. As the exact month and date remain unstated in other sources, those remain the same, but the year has been adjusted to 2245, giving a modified date of 04 January 2245. This can then also be converted into the pre-TOS stardate system established in Star Trek (2009), giving us a stardate of 2245.004.
