On Stardate 1531.1, Lieutenant Ryan,[Notes 1] manned the helm station aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 during the incident on planet M-113[1] as well as the mission to Psi 2000 on Stardate 1704.2 after Lieutenant Sulu was infected with an unknown disease.[2]

- ↑ Lieutenant Ryan's name and rank were given in the script, but were not spoken in dialogue. Additionally, although the script named him as a lieutenant, he had no rank insignia, which would otherwise indicate that he was an ensign.
