New York City was a major city in the United States of America on Earth. On Stardate 3134.0, Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, and Dr. McCoy of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 traveled back in time to New York City in 1930, where they prevented the accidental creation of an alternate timeline in which Nazi Germany won the Second World War.[1]
