On Stardate 2258.42, Chapel served as a nurse in sickbay aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701.[1][2] Chapel was a friend of Carol Marcus, who noted that Captain Kirk had a brief relationship with Chapel that ended with Chapel leaving the Enterprise. Kirk did not even remember her.[3]
