The Epsilon class cutter was first brought into service on Reference Stardate 2/1104 (April 2211). Of the 805 vessels constructed by Reference Stardate 2/2306 (June 2223), 363 Mark Is and 266 Mark IIs remained in active service, with 16 Mark Is and 8 Mark IIs in reserve fleets; four Mark Is and two Mark IIs were in use by Star Fleet Training Command; 87 Mark Is and 41 Mark IIs were destroyed; four Mark Is disappeared along the Triangle border, and two Mark Is disappeared along the rimward frontier; two Mark Is and four Mark IIs were scrapped; and six Mark Is were sold to civilian interests. The Epsilon class was produced at the Morena, Salazaar, and Merak shipyard at a combined rate of 18 per year.[1]
