(The root of all realities)

During the Eugenics Wars on Earth, Stavos Keniclius sought to create a "master race" of cloned super-humans, in order to impose peace on the world. When the conflict ended in defeat for the Augments he helped create, he fled into space, eventually landing on Phylos. His presence inadvertently prevented the Phylosians from launching their own mission to impose peace on the galaxy, when a strain of staphylococcus he carried decimated their population. He ultimately cloned himself, transferring his mind into a succession of new, fifty-foot-tall bodies, in an effort to continue working on his and the Phylosians' shared goals. When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 made first contact with the Phylosians, Keniclius 5 attempted to use Spock as the template for his "master race," cloning the fifty-foot-tall Spock 2. Spock 2, however, not only saved the life of the original Spock by mind melding and copying his memories back into his original body (while preserving his own copy in the new body), he refused to comply with Keniclius 5's plan, maintaining that the United Federation of Planets had already achieved his goal over the past century. Spock 2 remained on Phylos with Keniclius 5, and the pair dedicated themselves to reversing the genetic damaged caused to the Phylosians by the staphylococcus strain.[1]
