The Galaxy class Starship Challenger, under the command of Captain Geordi La Forge, tried unsuccessfully to prevent Chakotay and Harry Kim from changing history.^[1] Named for the early Human spacecraft, destroyed in 1986 in an explosion that claimed the lives of seven astronauts shortly after launch.
