(The root of all realities)

Adrenaline was a chemical derived from the stimulant hormone epinephrine,[1] produced by the adrenal gland in Humans. On Stardate 1512.2, Lieutenant Commander Spock noted that the organ and its effects sounded "most inconvenient."[2] Adrenaline was used as an effective radiation treatment in Earth's atomic age, but was later superseded by hyronalin. When several senior officers from the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 were stricken by exposure to an unknown form of radiation that proved unresponsive to hyronalin on Stardate 3478.2, Spock and Dr. Janet Wallace developed an adrenaline alternative that not only stopped, but reversed, the rapid-aging effects of exposure to the radiation.[3]
