The production of twenty Saladin class destroyers were authorized by the Star Fleet Appropriation of Stardate 0965[1] and the class was launched in Reference Stardate 1/85 (2185)[2] with the commissioning of the U.S.S. Saladin NCC-500.[1]
Siva class
The Star Fleet Appropriation of Stardate 3030 authorized the production of an additional 10 vessels of the Siva class variant, beginning with the U.S.S. Siva NCC-520,[1] commissioned on Reference Stardate 1/8703 (March 2187), but enormous design flaws resulted in sharply-curtailed production and the subclass was withdrawn from service on Reference Stardate 1/9409 (September 2194).[2]
Cochise class
The Star Fleet Appropriation of Stardate 4699 authorized the production of an additional 26 vessels of the Cochise class variant, starting with the U.S.S. Cochise NCC-530,[1] which launched on Reference Stardate 1/89 (2189). The class saw extensive service during the Four Years War.[2]
