The Federation Starship Axanar, a Larson class destroyer named for the Battle of Axanar and constructed to the Mark II specifications, was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/0612 (December 2264). The Axanar was was refit to the Larson class Mark VI specifications on Reference Stardate 2/1405 (March 2271); on 2/1609 (September 2272), the Axanar was given a final refit to the Mark VII configuration. As of Reference Stardate 2/2223 (June 2286), the Axanar was still in active service.[1]
