Lieutenant[1] Leslie[2] was assigned to the operations division aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2266, and frequently served on the bridge at the Engineering station.[3] On Stardate 2825.3, he was manning the helm when the ship arrived at Benecia.[4] While Captain Kirk and Commander Spock were on Gothos on Stardate 2126.1, Leslie took command of the bridge.[5] On Stardate 3087.6, he was at the helm when the ship investigated moments of galaxy-wide "nonexistence," which Starfleet Command believed to be a potential prelude to invasion from an alternate universe.[2] Leslie was part of the landing party to Beta III on Stardate 3156.2, when they discovered what fate befell the U.S.S. Archon a century earlier.[6] On Stardate 3287.2, Leslie was assisting Lieutenant Commander Scott in the transporter room when he was rendered unconscious by Commander Spock, who was under the influence of the neural parasites.[7]
