Elizabeth Dehner was born in the city of Delman on Stardate 1089.5. She held a PhD in psychology, and joined the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 at the Aldebaran colony prior to its mission to the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 1312.4. When the Enterprise came into contact with the Barrier, Dehner and Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell, the ship's navigator, were rendered unconscious by an unknown force, which ultimately resulted in their gaining godlike mental powers. Mitchell, an old friend of Captain James T. Kirk, had been driven mad by the power, and Dehner sacrificed her life to help Kirk kill Mitchell to prevent him from wreaking havoc on the galaxy.[1]

Kelvin Timeline

Due to an incident in the past with Doctor Leonard McCoy, Elizabeth Dehner refused to join the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 on its mission to the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 2258.54.[2]
