March
- RSD 2/0103.13: Captain Christopher Pike of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 delivers a report on the Orion slave trade after an investigative mission into Orion space. Upon publication, the report shocks and outrages many. The Federation Council oficially endorses the boycott of the Orion worlds, in effect telling the Orion government to ban the slave trade or face being cut off diplomatically and economically from the Federation.[1]
April
- RSD 2/0104: The Constitution class cruiser U.S.S. Essex NCC-1719 is commissioned.[2]
May
- RSD 2/0105.01 (1 May): The First Amendment to the Articles of Federation bans the Orion Green Slave trade within Federation space. Federation pressure forces the Botchok Planetary Congress to abolish slavery within the Orion Colonies — officially. Traffic in Green slaves continues as always within Orion space and secretly within the Federation.[3][4]
September
- RSD 2/0109: The Klingon base at Mastocal is completed. The base, constructed in an area of Klingon territory gained as a result of the Four Years War, is very close to Federation space and marks the Empire's return to a prewar level of battle readiness. By Reference Stardate 2/0706 (June 2207), the Empire will again make aggressive moves in the border areas.[5][6][7]
