1968
- During an historical research mission to 1968, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, having traveled back in time from 2267, encounters Gary Seven, a.k.a. Supervisor 194, a human with advanced technology who appears to be attempting to alter Earth's history, while on an assignment to prevent humanity from destroying itself in a nuclear war.[2]
- Captain John Christopher is transferred to a new assignment, and leaves Offutt Air Force Base.[3]
1969
- c.10 July: Captain John Christopher, a United States Air Force interceptor pilot, reports a UFO, but it soon disappears from view. The UFO was, in fact, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, which had accidentally traveled back in time from 2267.[3]
- July 20: Neil Armstrong becomes the first Human to step foot on Earth's moon. This is among the information viewed by the Talosians when they download the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 computer in 2254.[1][4]
