Reference Stardate 2/1501 through 2/1512
- RSD 2/15: In a running fight with a Federation cruiser, the captain of the pirate ship is killed when the bridge is destroyed. Bypassing the executive officer, Fayel R'Zaad seizes command himself; those who at first disagreed with the step are either silenced or eliminated. He brings the damaged ship back to the repair base and is hailed as a hero. Any whispers about his conduct are either forgotten or go unnoticed. His command of the ship is confirmed, making him one of the youngest commanders in the Orion fleets, and certainly the youngest in command of a vessel of this size and importance.[1]
- RSD 2/15: In a running fight with an Orion vessel, Joshua Scott is unable to destroy the enemy. What looked like an easy victory after the pirate bridge was hit became a hollow victory when the vessel was able to escape. It was almost as though the pirate had caught his second wind.[1]
February
- RSD 2/1502: Star Fleet Intelligence reports possible Orion trade agreements with the Romulans in the Triangle. This year, an art object from a known Klingon servitor race appears in a gallery in San Francisco, origin obscure.[2]
May
- RSD 2/1505: Knowledge of Operation Dixie inspires Romulan Sector Intelligence to plan their own deep-probe mission of Romulan capabilities and deployment centers. This mission is named Project Grey Ghost. It is hoped that successful completion of this mission will re-establish confidence in the branch, especially after the shakeup of RSD 2/0911.[3]
June
- RSD 2/1506.06 (6 June): The Klingon Sector of Star Fleet Intelligence Command accelerates preparations for Operation Dixie, believing the mission offers the means of proving its superiority to its rival, Romulan Sector Intelligence.[4]
October
- RSD 2/1510: Admiral James T. Kirk hand-picks Captain Willard Decker, son of the late Commodore Matt Decker, to take command of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 after it is overhauled. Decker spends the next 18 months becoming familiar with the vessel's design and modifications.[5][3]
December
- RSD 2/1512.08 (8 December): With information from Captain Kai sutai Mik, the U.S.S. Ironclad manages to catch several Romulan raiding vessels in Federation space. For his daring and bravery, Captain Bram Harmonson is promoted to Commodore and awarded the Medal of Valor.[6]
