Construction on the Federation Starship Wasp, a Bonhomme Richard class cruiser (a variant of the Constitution class), was authorized by the Star Fleet Appropriation of Stardate 3220[1] and commissioned circa 2294. The Wasp served during the Four Years War, and when that conflict ended in 2198, the Wasp and all other Bonhomme Richard class vessels were decommissioned and destroyed in weapons tests as part of Star Fleet's postwar demilitarization.[2]
