- John F. Kennedy is inaugurated as the 35th President of the United States of America.[1]
1963
- United States President John F. Kennedy is assassinated. He is succeeded in office by Lyndon Johnson.[1]
1968
- During an historical research mission to 1968, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, having traveled back in time from 2268, encounters Gary Seven, a.k.a. Supervisor 194, a human with advanced technology who appears to be attempting to alter Earth's history, while on an assignment to prevent humanity from destroying itself in a nuclear war.[2]
- Captain John Christopher is transferred to a new assignment, and leaves Offutt Air Force Base.[3]
- A Kelvan advance team departs the Andromeda galaxy at about this time. A generational ship, it will take 300 years for them to reach the Milky Way galaxy.[4]
