The Enterprise was a Declaration class interstellar liner, and was the first built specifically for the major Federation space lanes, such as between Earth and Alpha Centauri. Launched in 2123, the ship was powered by a second-generation warp drive, and was the first class of ship equipped with subspace radio.[1] An image of the ship was on display on the recreation deck of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2217.[2]
