Technician First Class Harrison[1] was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 as a security guard in 2267. After Commander Spock was attacked by the M-113 creature on Stardate 1531.1, Harrison stood guard outside the doors to sickbay.[2] He responded to detain Lieutenant Kevin Riley when Anton Karidian was revealed as Kodos the Executioner on Stardate 2817.6, and his phaser was later stolen by Karidian's daughter, Lenore, who attempted to use it to kill Starfleet Captain Kirk, but accidentally killed her father instead.[3] Harrison was part of a landing party investigating moments of "nonexistence" near an uninhabited planet when the Enterprise encountered Lazarus on Stardate 3087.6.[4] When Khan Noonien Singh seized control of the Enterprise on Stardate 3141.9, Harrison was on duty at the security station on the bridge and was recommended for a commendation by Captain Kirk. He and the rest of the bridge crew were held in the briefing room, where they were forced to watch as Khan attempted to kill the captain. He was knocked out by anesthetic gas when Kirk and Spock retook the ship.[1] On Stardate 3196.1, Harrison, apparently now an ensign, led a security team in the search for the Mother Horta on Janus VI.[5] He was again on bridge duty when the ship was attacked by a D-7 class battlecruiser, marking the start of the Federation-Klingon War of 2267 on Stardate 3198.4, then again on Stardate 3201.7, shortly after the Organian Peace Treaty ended the short-lived war.[6] Harrison, promoted again and now a lieutenant, was once again on bridge duty on Stardate 3287.2 when Commander Spock, under the influence of the neural parasites, attempted to seize control of the Enterprise helm, and he responded to the transporter room when Spock later attempted to beam back down to Deneva.[7]
