Stardate 5577.3: The Enterprise crew begins to shrink after radiation exposure.

The Enterprise receives a mysterious transmission containing only one decipherable word: Terratin. Arriving at the source of the signal, the ship is struck by radiation, and all living matter on the Enterprise begins to shrink. Beaming down to the planet, Kirk discovers a miniature city. The city's leader explains that the "attack" was actually a call for help: their planet is breaking up. Spock discovers the tiny people are the descendants of the mutated survivors of a long-lost Human colony mission, Terra Ten. The entire city is beamed aboard the Enterprise, and the crew is restored to normal size.
