Ensign[2] Roger[3] Lemli[4] was an engineer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in the late 2260s. On Stardate 3468.1, he was assigned to the bridge engineering station during an encounter with a being that claimed to be the Greek god Apollo.[5] On Stardate 4202.1, he assisted Lieutenant Kyle in the transporter room during an encounter with the Doomsday Machine.[6] On Stardate 3541.9, while working in main engineering, Lieutenant Commander Scott ordered him to "help with the interfactor" when Nomad entered engineering.[3]

On Stardate 4523.3, Lemli patronized a bar on Deep Space Station K-7 before playing a game in a tribble-infested rec room aboard the Enterprise.[7] He was again on bridge duty during a mission to planet 892 IV on Stardate 4040.7.[8] He was on transporter duty on Stardate 4211.4, when he beamed aboard a landing party during a medical emergency, after Commander Spock was wounded on the planet Neural,[9] and he was again on transporter duty during a mission to Sigma Iotia II.[10] On Stardate 4657.5, he was on duty in main engineering when the Kelvans seized control of the ship, and he was temporarily transformed into a small dehydrated polyhedron.[11] He was the transporter operator on duty on Stardate 4729.4, and beamed Commodore Wesley aboard when the M-5 computer was installed for testing aboard the Enterprise.[2] When the ship traveled back in time to 1968, he and Kyle were on duty in the transporter room and were rendered unconscious by Gary Seven.[12]

He was on duty in main engineering on Stardate 4372.5 when the Elasian guard Kryton sabotaged the ship's dilithium crystal converter assembly and committed suicide.[13] He served as a communications officer on Stardate 4842.6 when Spock was in temporary command of the ship during a mission to deflect an asteroid from a collision course with an unnamed planet.[14] While on bridge duty on Stardate 5431.4, he was stunned unconscious by the Eymorg Kara, who removed Spock's brain.[15] On Stardate 5693.4, Lemli attended a memorial service for Captain Kirk, who was believed to have been lost aboard the U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764 when it disappeared into an interphase rift.[16]

On Stardate 5725.3, he was on duty at the bridge engineering station when the ship encountered the Zetars near Memory Alpha.[4] He was again on bridge duty and became distracted by music played by Dr. Sevrin's followers on Stardate 5832.3, to Mr. Scott's disappointment, and was later rendered unconscious when Sevrin activated an ultrasonic weapon.[17] He and the entire crew were briefly miniaturized and placed into stasis by Flint on Stardate 5843.8.[18] He was again on bridge duty when Captain Kirk signed his report after the ship made first contact with the Excalbians on Stardate 5906.4.[19]
