  • 30-31 December: The S.S. Valiant encounters a magnetic storm that pushes it beyond the edge of the galaxy. Upon re-entering through the Galactic Barrier, several crew members begin exhibiting extraordinary psychic powers. The captain is forced to order the destruction of his ship,[5] but a number of crewmen survive and establish a colony on a nearby world.[6]
