Stardate 5483.7: A race of beautiful women remains immortal by stealing the life force of men.

Once every 27 years, a starship has disappeared near the Taurean system. The Enterprise receives signals from Taurea II which captivate all of the ship's male personnel — visions of lovely, golden-skinned, silver-haired women. Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Security Officer Carver beam down and are captured by the women of their visions. Fitted with headbands that drain their life energies, they age rapidly. Uhura takes command of the Enterprise and leads an all-female landing party, rescuing the men. Theela, the Taurean leader, explains that after their men all died, the women began to kidnap other men to draw off their life force and survive. Spock uses the Enterprise transporter, which retains the first landing party's undamaged molecular structure, to restore them to normal. The Taurean women are taken to another world, where they can live normal lives.
