Stardate 5554.4: A mad scientist seeks to create a "master race" to rule the galaxy.
On the planet Phylos, a landing party from the Enterprise discovers Keniclius 5, a giant clone of Dr. Stavos Keniclius, a Human scientist who lived during the Eugenics Wars. The giant wants to clone Spock to use as a galactic peacemaker, refusing to believe Kirk's claims that the galaxy is an almost totally peaceful group of civilized worlds. Keniclius clones one giant from the Vulcan, which weakens the original Spock to the point of death. Kirk makes the clone, Spock 2, realize that he is simply a copy of Spock. Using his Vulcan telepathic abilities, the clone saves the original Spock's life. Keniclius 5 and Spock 2 remain behind on Phylos.
