Construction on the Federation Starship Yorktown, a Constitution class vessel, was authorized by the Starfleet Appropriation of Stardate 0965.[1] The Yorktown was commissioned on Reference Stardate 1/9005 (May 2190).[2] On Reference Stardate 1/96 (2196), Michael Pollard completed his second cadet cruise aboard the Yorktown.[3] The Yorktown was refit to Mark III specifications on Reference Stardate 2/0308 (August 2203).[2] Henri Beaujolais also served aboard from Reference Stardate 2/07-2/08 (2207-2208).[3] The Yorktown was scheduled to rendezvous with the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2209 to transfer critically needed vaccines for Theta VII; the Enterprise was unable to make the rendezvous with the Yorktown until the investigation and destruction of the dikironium cloud creature was complete.[4] Elias Hodgkins served aboard the Yorktown from Reference Stardate 2/09-2/11 (2209-2211).[3] The Yorktown was scrapped on Reference Stardate 2/1102 (February 2211).[2]
