The Federation Starship Challenger, a Constitution class vessel, was constructed to Mark II specifications and commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/0008 (August 2200). The Challenger was refit to Mark III specifications on Reference Stardate 2/0508 (August 2205), then to Enterprise class Mark I on Reference Stardate 2/1707 (July 2217).[1] The ship was refit once more to Mark IV specifications on Reference Stardate 2/2810 (October 2228). The Challenger was scrapped on Reference Stardate 2/3507 (July 2235).[2]
